Virginia Sampson received her bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to receive her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1982. She then returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh where she worked as a general practice attorney for three years. She later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where she worked in civil litigation. Ms. Sampson has experience representing businesses and individuals in litigation matters, including contract and other business disputes, construction defect claims, employment issues, as well as personal injury and wrongful death claims. She has taken more than 15 jury trial cases to a verdict. Ms. Sampson was elected to the Phoenix Board of Trial Attorneys and was asked by the Presiding Judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court to act as a mediator in the pilot program for their early neutral evaluation program. In 1996, Ms. Sampson was appointed as a municipal court judge. As a judge, she presided over numerous jury and non-jury trials. In 1999, she relocated to California and became involved primarily in construction defect litigation defense and business litigation, including claims for unfair business practices, unfair competition, breach of contract, fraud and slander. Ms. Sampson joined Greenbaum Law Group, LLP in January 2005.
